Individual tax returns
In order to better serve you, our opening hours will be extended during the months of March and April. We will be open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., including lunch hour.
Be sure to provide us with all the necessary documents in order to take advantage of the tax credits available to you and to avoid additional delays. Consult the 2022 Checklist.
NEW: In order to limit the increase in our rate, we now ask you to prepare a summary of your medical expenses non refundable by your insurance and for your donations. Please use the forms available here. We will now have to charge an additional fee for compiling your medical expenses and donations.
If you have any business income, vehicle expenses or rental income, we have made forms available to help you compile your data. Feel free to use them!
Has your situation changed? It is essential to let us know in order to avoid errors in the preparation of your tax returns.
The important changes that we need to know:
- Address change
- Marital status change
- New baby
- Child in post-secondary studies
- Change in your medical insurance program (coverage dates)
- First-time home buyer
- Sale of your principal residence
- Change of usage of your property (rental vs personal usage)
DEPOSIT OF DOCUMENTS
To ensure the security of your personal information, we will not accept any documents by email.
1)You can drop off your paper documents at our office or via our secure mailbox outside. Please keep your originals.
2)You can also submit your documents via our secure portal.
You can access your portal at any time from the Client access
If you have not yet registered for the portal, please let us know to receive your login invitation.
In order to facilitate the management of your file, you must wait to have ALL your documents in hand before sending them to us. Please create a folder per family member under DROP DOCUMENTS HERE and deposit your documents in a single upload.
See the Upload document for complete instructions.
Afterwards, it is extremely important to send us an email at (info@leclairduperre.com) to advise us that your documents are complete and ready for production. A summary of your tax documents would also be appreciated.
If you are submitting documents to us in several ways (portal and paper), please do not provide us with duplicate documents to avoid the potential risk of duplicating the information.
MEETING CUSTOMERS AND INCOME TAX
We will give priority to client interviews by telephone again this year. However, it will be possible to come and meet us in person by appointment if you wish.
We ask for a prepayment of our fees before processing your file. Additional costs may be added depending on the complexity, the number of receipts and schedules to be completed or the additional time that must be allocated to your file.
Once your file has been processed, we will deposit the complete copy of your tax returns, your summary as well as the letter detailing your results on your portal (for you, your spouse and/or children).
If you would like a paper copy, simply let us know. And above all, do not hesitate to contact us if you would like further explanation of your tax results. It will be a pleasure for us to answer your questions.
